Love is for children.

NO MORE ENGAGEMENT RINGS.

So Fringe was pretty much what I expected— except for the engagement part, because you really need to make that break up and situation in general WORSE than it already is.

WHY CAN’T ANYONE BE HAPPY FOR LIKE TWO SECONDS ON THIS SHOW??!!

but I love it so much. IT’S ALL JUST SO TRAGIC AND DRAMATIC IRONY RIDDEN.

LINCOLN LOVES ALTLIV. AND IT’S SO DARN CUTE.

ALTLIV LOVES FRANK, but still has feelings for Peter (I’m okay w/ that since he knocked her up).

PETER LOVES OLIVIA but NOW HAS A KID IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE (that’s gonna be interesting…) AND HE HAS TO CHOOSE ONE?

OLIVIA LOVES PETER EVEN THOUGH SHE THINKS HE STILL LOVES ALTLIV.

This show. I can’t.

…and then next week’s commercial happened.

“I’ve seen what’s the two of us together looks like, and it’s beautiful.”

SO DEAD.

Oh, and all the jokes about spider girl?

AND BONES? Just caught up on that from last night.

BOOTH is officially an idiot. PROPOSING TO HANNAH?! Really?

I was 100% certain she’d say no. SHE ALREADY TOLD HIM SHE DIDN’T WANT TO GET MARRIED.

They’re just toying with the fans and their own characters now.

THIS IS JUST GETTING SAD, guys.

KISS BONES BY MAY SWEEPS OR I’M OUTTA HERE. K Hart?

AND there was a proposal on The Mentalist too!

POOR RIGSBY!

…Btw I totally think Grace’s fiance is the one who lit the guy on fire.

In conclusion: SO MANY DIAMONDS… SO FEW ACTUALLY HAPPY PEOPLE.

Autumnal Equinox •Castle S3E1• ‘A Deadly Affair’

Unlike Humpty-dumpty, Castle and Beckett are most definitely back together again.

A good season premiere reminds us, after the long summer break, why we watch a show. This was a GREAT season premiere, reminding me why I have a weekly flip out *squee* session every monday.

There were COUNTLESS references to hilarious moments from the two preceding seasons: my favorites being ‘ice-hole’ (referencing ‘The 5th Bullet’) and the first interrogation scene (similar to the one in the Pilot). But here are all the others I caught:

The snake- referring to ‘The Third Man’

The cardboard cutout that follows Beckett- from ‘Hell Hath No Fury’ -also from that episode- They brought back L.T. as one of the uniforms at the crime scene, but this time he got a line!

‘He really is ruggedly handsome.”- from ‘Always Buy Retail’

‘POSITIVE’- echoing ‘SHUT UP’ from ‘A Rose For Everafter’

Beckett grabbing Castle’s ear- from ‘Hedge fund Homeboys’

“CIA is a popular theory with you…”- ‘A Deadly Game’ and ‘Fool Me Once…

The shoot-out ALLEY location- Used in the first episode!

Stana’s faces in this episode are TO *DIE* FOR. She spends the whole episode trying not to let Castle see what she’s thinking, but we always get to see it. Stana is an amazing actress. Period.

Beckett: “Castle go home. Go back to your Hamptons, your ex-wife, your book parties…” <This *killed* me. Kate is SO angry with him, and she just can’t stand it anymore, she can’t deal. And the scene with her just staring at ‘his chair’?! I can’t even…

Who else noticed that Castle never sat in ‘his chair’? I did. Nice symbolism guys…

“Maybe he missed his chance…” oh, Castle’s face here is so sad! It’s funny that Alexis and her father apparently lead parallel lives, causing, on more than one occasion, for Castle to learn something about life (usually about the opposite sex) from his daughter. When their problems mirror each other, they both learn from each other.

“What’s it matter? As long as they CONNECTED.” Aww, Martha and her martha-isms; she is such a great character, and plays so well off of each other character. Martha is a great example of why this show is so good; because the ensemble works so well together, even across the family/precinct line.

Ryan finally got to shoot his gun! —and he missed. He also got Gibbs-slapped by Espo! BAHAHA. I love that Ryan is such a goofy character and Esposito is so suave and mature. They so much more like brothers to Beckett than they were in season 1, and the fact that they spend this episode totally hating on Castle for breaking Beckett’s heart was ADORABLE. The precinct has turned into a little family with Papa Montgomery holding the reins. Love it.

“Everybody has tattoos’ and ‘you should have seen some of the clubs I’ve been to’ made me want to know so much more about the more fun/wild aspects of Kate’s backstory, which I hear we are supposed to get in a few episode this season. Yay! —I have a feeling she’s not nearly as straight laced as Castle thinks she is.

I’m trying to figure out exactly when Beckett is supposed to have figure out that they were counterfeiting— and I don’t know, but when Castle is supposedly figuring it out, she’s almost GIDDY that he is ‘winning’ the bet.

…when they both shout ‘I know who the killer is!’ I was shouting ‘JUST KISS HIM ALREADY!”

Lanie’s hair is going to take some getting used to, I liked it curly… Castle’s hair is in an indefinable place right now, I can’t really figure it out… and Beckett’s hair is AWESOME! The long totally suits her.

Prediction: This season is going to be awesome. That’s really not so much a prediction than a fact… haha.

Haven TV

Playing with Fire •Haven S1E10• ‘The Hand You’re Dealt’

I legit cannot stay away from this show, and with this week’s ‘troubles’ heavy episode I am just going to throw caution to the wind and say it: I’m officially committing to this show. If it is on, I’m watching it! Yeah, I know waiting 10 episodes to really commit is odd, but I’ve found myself being even more wishy-washy than usual when it comes to Haven. I think because it didn’t grab me from the pilot, that I kind of held that against them, and that was unfair… but anyways— this is supposed to be about this weeks’ episode, not my borderline obsessive television tendencies.

So just some random thoughts about this week, entitled ‘The Hand You’re Dealt’:

Again, plot borrowed from season 3 of X-Files, but I totally don’t even care because I was too busy screaming ‘JUST KISS HER ALREADY NATHAN!!!” at my TV and confirming to my little sister that I am absolutely nuts. Lucas Bryant MADE this episode; he consistently surprises me with how he plays Nathan, and this may be the way he is written, but I almost don’t know what he will do next, and I really like that about his character. I wasn’t expecting this episode to feature his touch issue so prominently, but I’m sure glad that it did!

“Nathan: There’s something I don’t like… (Duke enters) make that two things.”

Oh gosh, the Nathan angst *killed* me in this episode. Gorram it, he’s SO CUTE! He spent the whole time trying to touch Audrey, and I spent the whole episode hyperventilating— well, that’s a little exaggerated, but not by much.

His ideas about fate over the course of the narrative were very interesting. Before the case takes a turn for the psycho, Nathan seems to be mentally decorating his and Audrey’s wedding cake— even going so far as to imply this in his conversation with Duke about fate. He’s testing himself with her, following her closely, lingering while shaking her hand, almost making sure of this ability she has with regard to him. However, at the end of the episode, he seems completely against the idea of fate in general. Nathan seems to have convinced himself that his connection to Audrey is all a coincidence, when obviously it isn’t. Not in Haven anyways.

I’m wondering why they felt the need to explain pyrokinesis? This is Syfy channel isn’t it?— that kinda stuff happens all the time around here.

“Duke: Buddha says expectations lead to suffering.

Audrey: So does quoting the Buddha at me.”

Audrey gets funnier and more endearing every episode; the best parts of this one were her completely creeped out reaction to the crazy disrobing photographer guy (btw BWHAHA!!) and her shocked/guilty reaction to making the kid explode into a fireball.

I love that Audrey protected Nathan in the confrontation scene, she dropped her gun and realized that Nathan wouldn’t know that it was hot… indicating her instinct to feel and then realize that Nathan cannot. I wonder if we will see her caring for him in that way more as the show continues (SEASON 2? I HOPE, I HOPE!)

I really, really am liking Julia, and hope that she becomes a frequent guest; if not a series regular… she plays well off of each other character, and while I still miss Dr. Carr, I do believe her daughter will prove a more useful character in the long run. They put Michelle Monteith’s name in the title sequence, so I hope that’s a good sign… The fact that she notices Nathan’s apparent attraction to Audrey is AWESOME, and makes me like her even more.

The tattoo and the Colorado Kid case is getting interesting…

…but Audrey better find out about Nathan’s secret before the end of the season or I will DIE DIE DIE.
